The absence of a unified halal standard has created significant challenges for the food industry, which aims to meet the growing demand for halal products. This paper, presented by Dr. Million Reias from Texas A&M University, explores the critical issues related to the lack of standardized halal certification. It highlights the confusion caused by varying standards across different countries and the competition among certifying bodies, which complicates the production and distribution processes for multinational companies.
